SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - A 17-year-old who was shot at an outdoor party in Syracuse last weekend along with eight other people has died, according to authorities.

Chariel Osorio was shot Saturday night when at least six people opened fire at the densely packed party, the Syracuse Post-Standard reported. Other shooting victims ranged in age from 18 to 53 and were expected to survive.

Osorio received his high-school diploma hours before the shooting. Nearly 200 people attended a vigil in his honor Thursday.

Witnesses said several hundred people had gathered Saturday evening for food and music, but shots rang out shortly before the party was to end at 9 p.m.

Prosecutors said no arrests have been made.
