Police: Motorcycle operator killed in collision in Newport

NEWPORT, N.H. (AP) - A motorcycle rider was killed Thursday morning in a collision with a pickup truck, Newport police said.

Robert Bushway Jr., 41, of Lempster, was pronounced dead at the scene after his motorcycle collided with the pickup that was turning into a driveway, police said.

Investigators who are conducting a reconstruction of the crash say it does not appear that impairment or distraction were factors. Police were alerted at about 4:50 a.m.
