BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. (AP) - Lake Havasu City police are handling an investigation into the death of a woman who was found unresponsive in her holding cell.

Authorities said 34-year-old Amber Fagundes was in the custody of Bullhead City police June 21 when she was found unresponsive after an apparent suicide.

The Bullhead City woman was being temporarily held at the city’s police department on charges of disorderly conduct, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.



According to police, it’s standard protocol for an outside agency to conduct an investigation when there is an in-custody death.
