MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - Police have made a second arrest in a more than 20-year-old homicide on the Alabama coast, authorities said Monday.

Dammon Wright, 40, surrendered at the Mobile County Metro Jail and was charged with murder in the slaying of 24-year-old Marcel Chandler, who was found shot to death inside a wrecked car in December 1999, a police statement said.

Another man, 42-year-old Jamelle Thomas of Mobile, was charged with murder in the slaying earlier this month.

Court records did not list an attorney for Wright. Thomas has not entered a plea but is due in court on July 1 for a preliminary hearing, documents showed.

Investigators did not say what led them to either man.
