CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice declared a state of emergency Saturday after flooding in Greenbrier and Monroe counties.

The Republican governor has directed state emergency officials to support the counties and work with local officials following flash flooding that damaged roads and buildings in the area. His proclamation said the counties also had rockslides and mudslides.

Emergency officials in Greenbrier County said Route 12 was significantly damaged and Route 63 had minor flooding as of Saturday afternoon.
