DELAWARE CITY, Del. (AP) - Authorities in Delaware say they’ve recovered the body of a 45-year-old New Jersey man who went missing after a boat accident on the Delaware River.

Sgt. Brooke Mitchell of the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control confirmed in an email on Thursday that the man’s body was found.

The News Journal reported that emergency crews had rescued two people from the sinking boat on Monday afternoon. The rescue occurred near Delaware City and the Chesapeake & Delaware Canal.



The U.S. Coast Guard, local fire departments and a Delaware State Police helicopter had participated in the search. No further details have been released.
