Man found dead after apartment fire in Florida

DANIA BEACH, Fla. (AP) - A Florida man is dead following a fire at his apartment, officials said.

Tyrone Smith, 49, was found dead Sunday afternoon after rescue workers put out a fire at his Dania Beach home, according to a Broward Sheriff’s Office news release.

Local detectives and the State Fire Marshal were investigating the death.
