HARTFORD, Vt. (AP) - Construction is set to get underway Monday on a project to install two roundabouts on U.S. Route 5 in the town of Hartford.
The project will include the addition of approximately a half-mile of sidewalk along Sykes Mountain Avenue from the post office to Lily Pond Road.
The town of Hartford and the Vermont Agency of Transportation developed this project to improve safety at the intersections along Route 5 and Sykes Mountain Avenue for motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists.
Construction will be conducted Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. – 6 p.m., with the possibility of some daytime work on some Saturdays.
