OPINION:
What do you do when a group of anarchists takes over a section of your city and proclaims it is no longer part of the United States? Washington Gov. Jay Inslee claims he has no knowledge of the Seattle takeover and laughs at the situation. Are the Democrats just waiting to see what Mr. Trump will do?
The president sent a stern warning to Seattle leaders: Clean out the anarchists or I will. I think he should leave the Democratic leaders in Seattle to stew in their own juices. He should not go in there and help, though he has both the manpower and the wherewithal. He would get no thanks. Instead, he should wait until the whole state is taken over, precinct by precinct, and the governor flees with his to-go bag as his mansion is overrun like the Seattle city hall.
A little force on the part of the Democratic leadership could have nipped this in the bud, but no — they told their police to retreat. They played nice, gave an inch and the Black Lives Matter and Antifa rioters took a mile (actually, six blocks), renamed the area CHAZ, cutting the territory out of the U.S. and proclaiming themselves autonomous.
Why not let them be autonomous? Strengthen the fence around the area. Encourage anyone who wants to come out to do so. And then cut off the U.S.-supplied electricity, Internet, water and sewage. No U.S. food should be allowed to get in. The U.S. citizenship of everyone inside should be cut off, and they should all be ignored until they’re willing to negotiate.
Let them out in small numbers. Charge them with anarchy, treat them as war criminals and then put them on construction sites rebuilding the infrastructure their riots destroyed. Good behavior gives them their citizenship back if they want it. And if not, well, where do you go if you are a citizen of no country?
