NEOSHO, Mo. (AP) - Newton County officials are investigating the death of a man whose body was found under a pile of debris as a homicide.

A neighbor found the body of Robert Bryant, 55, on Saturday under the debris at his home in Neosho, Newton County Sheriff Chris Jennings said in a news release.

Jennings said Monday that family members told investigators they hadn’t seen Bryant since the previous Sunday but had not yet reported him missing.

An autopsy has been scheduled for later this week to determine his cause of death.
