DETROIT (AP) - Strong storms dumped heavy rain across the Detroit area on Wednesday, flooding freeways and interrupting power to thousands of homes and businesses.
DTE Energy said more than 27,000 customers had no electricity shortly before 5 p.m.
The southbound Lodge Freeway was completely closed at the Davison Freeway due to high water Wednesday afternoon, Michigan Department of Transportation officials said.
