SHAWANGUNK, New York (AP) - A father and his 7-year-old son died in a house fire in New York, according to the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office.
Ulster County Sheriff’s Office said the fire was reported Sunday after 12:30 a.m. in Shawangunk, New York.
When first responders arrived, they found a 9-year-old girl who had been pushed from the window to safety by her father, Joseph J. Hull, the Times Herald-Record reported.
Authorities said Hull, 50, stayed in the burning home to find his son, Joseph D. Hull.
Firefighters located them both and they were transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in Newburgh, where they were pronounced dead.
