SPARKS, Nev. (AP) - Authorities continued to search Sunday for a 50-year-old man who went missing while swimming at Sparks Marina.
According to the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, the man went swimming with a friend Saturday and then was seen struggling in the water before going under. and not resurfacing.
His friend reported finding the missing man’s hat shortly after 2 p.m. and swam to shore to call 911.
The name of the missing man hasn’t been released.
Crews from the Sparks police and fire departments are assisting in the search along with several county agencies.
