MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire law enforcement officials are investigating the fatal stabbing of a man early Sunday in Manchester, officials said.
Siidi Dhurow, 22, of Manchester, was transported to a hospital where he died after police responded at about 2 a.m. Sunday to initial reports of a shooting near the intersection of Beech and Lowell streets, officials said.
It was unclear if the fatal stabbing had anything to do with a second stabbing in the same area, Attorney General Gordon MacDonald and Manchester Police Chief Carlo Capano said in a statement. The second victim was treated for a non-life threatening wound to his neck.
The shooting report, the investigators said, appeared to be unrelated to Dhurow’s stabbing. An autopsy on Sunday confirmed Dhurow died from a stab wound to the chest, they said.
The events remain under investigation. Any witnesses were encouraged to contact the Manchester Police Department.
