NEW LONDON, Conn. (AP) - Two people were rescued from the water after their boat struck rocks and sunk Saturday night off the Connecticut coast, authorities said.

The U.S. Coast Guard pulled the man and women from the water near the New London Ledge Lighthouse on the Thames River around 11:45 p.m. Saturday.

They were hospitalized for treatment of injuries including exposure, the New London Fire Department said.
