PHILADELPHIA (AP) - A man was killed and two teenagers were wounded when nearly two dozen shots were fired at two cars in Philadelphia, authorities said.

The 21-year-old man was found shortly after 9:30 p.m. Monday, when police responding to reports of shots fired found a car had crashed into a parked vehicle. They soon discovered the man had been shot in the torso and he was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

A female passenger was injured when broken glass hit her face.

Police soon located another vehicle that had sped away from the scene and found two boys, ages 14 and 17, who had been wounded in the shooting. The older teen was shot in the face and was hospitalized in critical condition, while the 14-year-old was shot in the torso and was in stable condition.

The names of the four people have not been released.

A motive for the shootings remains under investigation. It was not clear how many shooters may have been involved or what type of weapon was used.
