HICKSVILLE, N.Y. (AP) - A Long Island restaurant worker has been arrested for fatally stabbing a co-worker during a fight, police said Friday.
The fight happened at about 10:30 p.m. Thursday at La Candela Peruvian Restaurant in Hicksville. Nassau County police said 22-year-old David Jimenez Salazar stabbed the other man in the neck with broken glass.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not immediately released.
Salazar was awaiting arraignment on charges of second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon. It wasn’t clear whether he had an attorney who could speak for him.
