HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - A woman and her 1-year-old child were shot in the parking lot of a hotel in Connecticut, where they were visiting residents, police said.
On Thursday morning, a man fired a handgun out of an SUV, hitting both the woman, 23, and her son, who was in a stroller, Glastonbury police said. Police said they were treated at a nearby hospital, and their wounds were not life-threatening.
Police believe that the shooting was targeted, but that the woman and her child may not have been the intended victims.
“We’re trying to identify witnesses who may have information,” Lt. Corey Davis told the Hartford Courant.
Glastonbury is a suburb of Hartford, Connecticut, where the woman and her son live.
