Police: Woman’s body found in plastic container

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Police say a woman’s body was found in a large plastic container on a south Philadelphia street.

A police spokesman said the gray container wrapped in plastic wrap was found shortly after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Grays Ferry section of the city.

Emergency medical personnel pronounced the woman dead shortly after 10 a.m. Wednesday.

The case was initially labeled a suspicious death, and there was no immediate word on what may have caused the woman’s death.
