Patrick Stewart’s latest promotional interview for the upcoming CBS All Access show “Star Trek: Picard” features the actor lambasting President Trump and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

The iconic science-fiction captain told Variety for an interview published Wednesday that Americans are short on time to limit their “f—-ed state” the longer Mr. Trump is in the White House.

“I’m not sure which one of us is in the most trouble,” he told the magazine. “I think it’s actually the U.K. I think we’re f—-ed, completely f—-ed.”

Mr. Stewart then lamented his fellow citizens’ desire to leave the European Union, along with American voters who elected Mr. Trump in 2016.

“There is a time limit to your f—-ed state, which is four years away,” the actor said. “The United States that has given us the Trump administration [may reverse course, although] he will likely get reelected.”

The 79-year-old’s show debuts on Jan. 23.

Alex Kurtzman, who serves as the series’ creator and executive producer, told fans not to worry.

“Everything [Mr. Stewart] does is filled with innate integrity,” Mr. Kurtzman said. “He fights for the things he believes in. And he’s very willing to collaborate once you’re on the same wavelength.”
