RENO, Nev. (AP) - One of three men convicted in connection with the killing of a man south of Reno 18 months ago has been sentenced to four years in prison.

KOLO-TV reports Tyler Hernandez was sentenced Wednesday in Washoe County District Court after he was found guilty earlier of involuntary manslaughter in the June 2018 death of Paul Dobbins in a Galena neighborhood.

Hernandez was acquitted of battery with a deadly weapon and discharging a firearm from a vehicle.

Two other defendants are still awaiting sentencing. Quentin Moore and Jamil Geronimo were found guilty of first-degree murder in Dobbins’ death in October.

Moore also was convicted of battery with a deadly weapon and challenging someone to fight. Geronimo also was convicted of battery with a deadly weapon, assault with a deadly weapon, discharging a firearm from a vehicle and discharging a firearm in a building.

Police say the murder culminated a series of incidents that included a shooting at a California Avenue bar on the sound end of downtown Reno where two bystanders received minor injuries.
