SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) - A woman has died from injuries suffered last week in a Springfield house fire, authorities say.
The city of Springfield identified the victim in a news release Monday as 63-year-old Kathryn Thompson. The release says she was overcome by smoke in Thursday’s blaze and was rushed to a hospital. She died Sunday night.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
