OPINION:
The comments by activist and lawyer Robert Kennedy Jr. about President Trump having “discredited the American experiment with self-governance” deserve genealogical scrutiny.
Mr. Kennedy has failed to condemn the views of Sen. Bernie Sanders, who honeymooned in Moscow during the Soviet era along with the regime of Mao, the most murderous regime of the 20th century. By his silence, Mr. Kennedy has failed to condemn the socialistic zeitgeist of the current pool of Democratic presidential contenders and the adolescent, imbecilic “A.O.C.” and the rest of the notorious bigoted “squad.”
Mr. Kennedy should read the address of his uncle, the 35th president of the United States, to the Economic Club of New York. And he should be reminded of the kindred relationship of both his aforementioned uncle JFK, his own father, RFK and the late Joseph McCarthy, whom Mr. Kennedy’s own father chose as the godfather of one of Mr. Kennedy’s siblings.
What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. What’s good for the Trumps is good for the Kennedys.
