HAMDEN, Conn. (AP) - A Connecticut woman walked into an assisted living facility where she entered several apartments and stole cash and jewelry, police said.

Camile Dzemailoska, 40, of Naugatuck, was charged with burglary, larceny, and criminal mischief after walking into the Larson Place Senior Living Facility in Hamden last Friday, the New Haven Register reported Tuesday.

Officers responded to the facility for a report of a suspicious person seen by staff entering and leaving several apartments.

Dzemailoska when confronted by an employee said she was an aide for a resident, police said. She was asked to leave.

A short time later a resident reported that she was missing a large sum of money. Dzemailoska was arrested in Cheshire and had several pieces of stolen jewelry in her car, police said.

She posted $15,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Jan. 31. No defense attorney was listed in court records.
