TUPELO, Miss. (AP) - School officials in Tupelo say a student was found with a handgun at an elementary school.
The weapon was unloaded when found in the student’s possession at Lawndale Elementary School on Thursday, The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal reported.
The Tupelo Public School District said no one was in danger.
Campus administrators and Tupelo police school resource officers confiscated the weapon.
