The president of Michigan’s Cleary University will resign to lead Pennsylvania’s Rosemont College, officials announced Tuesday.

Jayson Boyers was set to leave Cleary, a business school based in Howell with multiple other sites, May 8. He then plans to assume the same job at Rosemont, a Catholic college in Rosemont, Pennsylvania.

Boyers, who became the 10th president of Cleary in October 2015, said in a release that he sought to “lead a college rooted in the tradition of a Catholic education.”

Cleary officials said they plan to form a presidential search team composed of faculty, staff, students and others.

The university was founded in 1883.
