MAGNOLIA, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police have arrested four people in connection with a shooting incident in Magnolia.

Police said in a news release that two men confronted a third man on the street and shot at him at about 9:30 p.m. Friday. A single gunshot, fired from a black rifle, missed the man, police said.

The man who was the intended target fled after the shooting and has not been located, police said. A motive for the shooting has not been determined.

Police said two men who were present during the shooting were arrested, including Thomas Bailey Jr., 39, of Milford, and William Goldsborough, 39, of Dover. Police said they believe Bailey was the person who fired the gun.

Patrice Anderson, 29 of Wilmington, was also arrested. Police said they believe she purchased the .22 caliber ammunition and provided it to Bailey, knowing he intended to use it in the shooting.

Roger Jones, 44, of Magnolia, was also arrested after detectives found the rifle used in the shooting during a search of his residence, police said.

Police said all four people were prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition due to prior felony convictions.
