LAS VEGAS (AP) -
A student at a Las Vegas high school was arrested Friday after Clark County School District police found a gun at the school, authorities said.
Cheyenne High School Principal Zachary Robbins told parents in a letter that a brief lockdown was ordered “out of an abundance of caution” after district police received a tip and arrested the student.
There apparently wasn’t any threat made against the school or individuals, Robbins said.
He advised parents to discuss school safety with their children and to encourage them to report anything that may be a safety issue.
No information was released about the student.
