LANCASTER, Pa. (AP) - A coroner has ruled the deaths of two women in a fire in a Pennsylvania home over the weekend accidental.
Sabine Labarriere, 40, and Marie Dorcena, 79, died of smoke inhalation and thermal injuries, the Lancaster County coroner said Monday.
Authorities said the West Hempfield Township blaze was reported shortly before midnight Saturday. Fire crews fought the blaze through early Sunday before bringing it under control.
Three children were able to escape. Emergency dispatchers said one firefighter was taken to a hospital after falling through a floor inside the home.
A state police fire marshal is investigating the cause of the blaze.
