LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police say a pedestrian has been killed after being struck by a taxi in downtown Las Vegas.
They say officers responded to the scene on Grand Central Parkway about 5 p.m. Saturday.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police say a pickup truck was stopped at a light and a pedestrian started walking inside a crosswalk on the other side of the street.
Witnesses told police that a cab drove through a red light and crashed into the truck.
The truck then rotated in the intersection and reportedly hit the woman crossing the road.
Police say the victim was taken to a hospital, where she died.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release her identity of the woman after her relatives have been notified.
Police say both drivers involved in the crash showed no signs of impairment, but the driver at fault could face charges after the investigation.
