DOVER, Del. (AP) - Testimony is set to continue in the trial of a Delaware police officer charged with manslaughter in a deadly car crash.

Jurors were to return to court Wednesday for the third day of trial in the prosecution of Dover police officer Frederick Pierce.

Pierce was indicted last year on charges of manslaughter, assault, speeding and driving while using a cellphone.

Pierce is charged with causing a chain-reaction crash in September 2018 in Dover that killed Catina Isaacs, 44, of Kenton, and injured a UPS driver.

Pierce was off-duty and driving his personal vehicle at the time of the crash.
