PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Gunfire in north Philadelphia sent four people to a hospital, including a man and a woman in critical condition, police said.

Police said 20 shots were reported shortly after 3:30 p.m. Wednesday n the Yorktown neighborhood of the city.

A 25-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman were both shot in the head and were taken to Temple University Hospital by private vehicle in critical condition, police said.



A 23-year-old man shot in the leg and a 25-year-old man shot in the arm were taken to the hospital and listed in stable condition. police said.

Police said a weapon was recovered and a male was detained, but there was no immediate word on charges.
