PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities say a Buckeye man has died after in street racing crash on a Phoenix freeway.
They say the crash occurred on State Route 51 about 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Arizona Department of Public Safety officials identified the victim Wednesday as 18-year-old Felix Cardoza.
They say Cardoza was racing another car when his vehicle veered off the right side of the freeway, slammed into a concrete retaining wall and rolled back onto the roadway.
Authorities say two people were in the other car involved in the street racing incident, but their names weren’t immediately released.
