OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Authorities have reopened Interstate 80 and U.S. Highway 30 in western Nebraska to westbound traffic into Wyoming.

U.S. Highway 30 was closed from 9 miles (14.5 kilometers) west of Brule to the Wyoming state line, the Nebraska Transportation Department said. Interstate 80 was closed from Big Springs west to the state line.

Wyoming authorities had reported that much of I-80 was closed to travelers because of whiteout and other winter conditions. It’s been reopened throughout the state, although officials said some slick spots remain.
