NEW YORK (AP) - A 20-year-old man was shot to death inside a Bronx deli on Tuesday in the second such fatal shooting in the borough in less than a week.

Police responding to a 911 call in the Williamsbridge neighborhood shortly before 11:30 a.m. Tuesday found the victim with a gunshot wound to the torso. He was taken to Montefiore Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. His name was not immediately released.

A witness told WABC-TV that the victim was a deli worker who was shot in the face and in the back.

A man and a woman were taken into custody in the shooting, police said. Charges were pending.

The shooting came four days after a 34-year-old worker was fatally shot at a deli in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx. Police have not arrested a suspect in the earlier shooting.
