HERKIMER, N.Y. (AP) - Two people were treated for stab wounds after a fight in a housing complex at a central New York community college campus Tuesday afternoon, officials said.

A statement posted on the website of Herkimer County Community College said the incident happened around 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Campus Meadows housing complex.

“Two individuals were stabbed during an altercation. They are being treated and their injuries are considered non-life-threatening,” the statement said. It did not specify whether people involved in the incident were students.

Herkimer Police Chief Michael Jory said suspects may have left in a four-door gray sedan with a tail light out. There were no immediate arrests.
