BOYLSTON, Mass. (AP) - Rescue workers pulled four people from a Boylston, Massachusetts pond after they fell through the ice on Monday.

Fire officials said the four included a fisherman, who was the first fall into Rocky Pond and three would-be rescuers.

A resident living on the pond heard the cries for help from the fisherman at about 2 p.m. and went to help, but fell into the water, Boylston fire officials said.

Two construction workers then used a kayak in an attempt and reach those two, but also ended up in the water.

The Shrewsbury Fire Department brought in a hover craft, which was used to reach the victims

One person was sent to a local hospital suffering from hypothermia. Three others were treated at the scene.

Their names were not immediately released.
