Florida reports more than 12K new COVID-19 cases, 101 deaths

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Florida officials reported 12,075 new cases of coronavirus on Tuesday, raising the state’s total to nearly 1.3 million.

The Department of Health also reported 105 more confirmed deaths, including four non-Floridians. Overall, 21,718 people have died from COVID-19.

As of Tuesday afternoon, 6,280 people were hospitalized because of the virus.

Also as of Tuesday, about 150,000 people have received a coronavirus vaccine.
