PHOENIX (AP) - The driver of a pickup truck involved in a fatal hit-and-run has been arrested after turning himself in.

The two men sought for questioning in a fatal hit-and-run accident turned themselves in shortly before noon on Saturday following the 1 a.m. accident, Phoenix police spokeswoman Cox Maggie said in a statement Saturday evening.

The victim, 33-year-old Jessica Lightner, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police spent the morning searching for the driver after witnesses identified the vehicle, a 1997 Nissan pickup, abandoned a few blocks away from the accident.

Authorities say two men identifying themselves as the driver and passenger called the police and turned themselves in.

Sergio Campa Nareja, 35, was arrested after a police interview and charged with leaving the scene.
