JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Part of a Christmas tree outside Jacksonville City Hall caught fire overnight Friday, leaving a burnt smell and fallen ornaments on Christmas Day.
Video taken by First Coast News showed charring on one side of the tree from top to bottom. Ashes were on the ground surrounded by fallen ornaments.
The television station said it had reached out to the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department but hadn’t heard back.
