ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) - A man was found dead inside a home after a fast-moving fire roared through the residence, authorities said.
The fire in Allentown was reported shortly before 10 p.m. Wednesday. Neighbors told emergency responders that someone was inside the home, and the man’s body was found a short time later on the second floor after crews were able to enter the residence.
The man’s name has not been released, and it’s not yet known if he died before the fire broke out or if he was killed in the blaze. He apparently lived alone in the home, and no other injuries were reported in the fire.
Firefighters were able to get the blaze under control in about 20 minutes. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
