BALTIMORE (AP) - Baltimore police are investigating an apparent fatal stabbing in the northwestern part of the city.

The death late Tuesday night brings the city to 330 homicides so far in 2020. That’s about eight deaths fewer than at this time last year.

There have also been 711 nonfatal shootings this year, which is also less than last year at this time.

Police identified the victim as 43-year-old Brandon Fleming. They say he died at the scene.

The medical examiners performed an autopsy. Police said that they discovered a stab wound and ruled the death a homicide.
