On TV last weekend, I saw a news segment with Dr. Anthony Fauci. In response to a child’s question about the safety of Santa Claus coming to homes amid the coronavirus pandemic, Dr. Fauci said that he had personally gone to the North Pole and vaccinated Santa against the virus.

The election is over. The tall tales need to stop. Here’s my problem with Dr. Fauci’s “account” and reassurance: The vaccine just became available and surely will take time to work. I suggest that if Santa is not wearing a mask, you don’t let him in. Call me a party pooper, or a scrooge if you like. But better safe than sorry.
