JOPLIN, Mo. (AP) - A driver was killed Tuesday when his car went off the side of a road and landed upside down in a creek, authorities say.

Police responded around 7:15 a.m. Tuesday, where they found 28-year-old Alvaro Rivas, of Carthage, dead. They said his vehicle struck multiple light police before landing in the creek.

The crash is under investigation.
