LOS ANGELES (AP) - Fire destroyed two buildings housing three businesses in the North Hollywood area of Los Angeles before the flames were brought under control.
Firefighters successfully defended a third building under construction and ventilated a nearby residential building that was impacted by smoke late Monday, the Fire Department said in a statement. No injuries were reported.
The fire began around 9 p.m. and more than 100 firefighters brought it under control just under two hours later.
Arson investigators were on scene to determine the cause. The fire was reported as an outside fire that spread to the building.
