When did someone last notice our national debt, not to mention state and local? Not in the recent campaign.

Each citizen’s share, according to the National Debt Clock, is $82,956 national, $3,611 state and $6,452 local. How many Americans gross $93,019 per annum? Only the top 1%, probably.

The national GDP is $21.3 trillion, the debt $27.4 trillion, the spending $7.8 trillion and the revenue $3.4 trillion. This is completely out of whack.

And now Congress is trying, at the last minute, to pass its umpteenth continuing resolution because the denizens haven’t been capable of passing all 12 appropriation bills since approximately 1997.

Partisan politics will ruin this country. Our public servants serve only themselves. And we have to wait another two years to get up the gumption to throw ’em all out.

Who’s dumber, they or we?
