AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) - A crash in Maine’s capital city killed a 41-year-old man and injured his 6-year-old daughter, police said.

The crash killed Scott W. Jones on Monday night, police said. His daughter was the only passenger in Jones’ truck and she was taken to a hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.

Maine State Police said they have reconstructed the crash, and Augusta city police were still investigating it on Tuesday. Jones was driving a pickup truck and crashed on Eastern Avenue, the Kennebec Journal reported.
