BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - Authorities in southern Montana have launched an investigation after a man was fatally shot in Billings.
The Billings Police Department said the man, 30, was shot multiple times on Monday around 8:50 p.m. before being run over by a car near Fourth Street, The Billings Gazette reported.
Police do not believe the driver of the vehicle was involved in the shooting.
Police Lt. Brandon Wooley said the driver remained at the scene and was not injured.
Arriving police and medical personnel said the man who was runover was declared dead at the scene. He was not identified.
Detectives are investigating the man’s death as a possible homicide. Anyone with information is encouraged to call local authorities.
