VENTNOR, N.J. (AP) - Authorities on Friday released few details about what led to a shooting by police in southern New Jersey that left a male dead.
The shooting occurred around 4:15 p.m. Thursday in the area of Weelington and West End avenues in Ventnor, the state attorney general’s office said in a news release.
Authorities were trying to identify the male, who was pronounced dead at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City.
As required by law, the attorney general’s office was investigating the shooting.
Authorities said the investigation was ongoing and no other information was being released.
