MULLINS, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina officials are investigating after they say a man barricaded himself inside his house and shot at police.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division tells local news outlets that police were called to a domestic incident in Mullins on Sunday night.

Police say the unnamed man went inside his house and fired several shots toward officers, with one officer firing back.

Neighbors say police used tear gas to get the man to leave the home. He eventually came out and was arrested without further incident. No charges were announced.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division says no one was injured. The agency continues to investigate.
